2023 marked the merger of Escongweni BPH Engineers and PHB Engineers to form ENsync Engineers – we are focused on providing a professional consulting service utilising in-house capacity and expertise, through our national footprint with offices in Gauteng, Western Cape and Durban. We maintain a clear focus on in-house staff development, through structured staff training and development initiatives to ensure that we exceed our client’s needs & expectations. 

In an ever-changing business environment we also maintain working relationships with complementary professionals in associated fields to provide multi-disciplinary service excellence.

Ensync Engineers is a proudly South African, non-racial company which holds a Level 1 B-BBEE certification with a black ownership of 76,8% and a combined industry experience of over 180 years. This is invaluable.

Chief Executive Officer

Mr Neo Mooketsi Tladinyane (CEO) is a registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) and a registered Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) with more than 30 years’ experience in the Engineering design and project management fields. Mr Tladinyane has vast experience in the delivery of engineering and physical infrastructure, this experience being both in South Africa and neighbouring African countries.

Mr Tladinyane has extensive experience in Civil & Structural Engineering, Engineering and Project Management, Bulk and Municipal Infrastructure Delivery Management, Human Settlement Delivery Management, and Construction and Development Management.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mr Dexter Madlala has in excess of 18 years of experience in the Civil Engineering Industry. He possesses a B-Tech Degree in Civil Engineering and is registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technologist.

Mr. Madlala has been working as a project leader in many infrastructure projects and has vast experience in carefully selecting staff with technical skills and experience to deliver a successful project outcome to budget and on time. His experience as a project lead Engineer is across the disciplines of water infrastructure, roads and buildings. In addition, Dexter also has vast experience as contracts Engineer on infrastructure projects.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mr Njabulo Nhleko has over 18 years experience on roads discipline. He has been involved with the geometric design of urban and rural highways, road safety audit, pavement design construction monitoring, contract documentation and contract administration. 

 In addition, Mr. Nhleko has vast expertise in community and client liaison, safety, health and environment (SHE), road markings and traffic signage design, pavement design and materials investigation and hydrology (Storm water).

DIRECTOR

Johan Hattingh is a registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) with more than 40 years’ experience in the Civil Engineering field with expert expertise in Roads Design, Rehabilitation and Construction. Mr Hattingh has spearheaded the development of the specifications for trenching in and along road carriageways including developing The Guidelines for the Installation of the Optic Fibre Network in the National Roads (SANRAL).

Mr Hattingh’s knowledge in Labour- Intensive Technologies has been instrumental in the drafting of the specifications for labour enhanced technologies in the new COTO Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridge Works.

DIRECTOR

Mark Howard obtained his BSc (Civil Engineering) at the University of Natal in 1989 and is an ECSA  registered Professional Engineer. He has 27 years postgraduate experience in the design, documentation, site supervision and construction management of civil and structural engineering projects. 

Mr. Howard’s civil work includes the geometric design of minor and major roads, stormwater drainage, sewer pipelines and water reticulation. His structural expertise include office and residential buildings, industrial structures, water retaining structures and bridges. 

Mark has experience in the design of Green Buildings and is a member of SAICE.

DIRECTOR

Gordon Japp Mr. Gordon Japp is registered as a Professional Engineer, has 16 years of experience, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He has a vast range of experience working as a Civil Engineer in both contractor and consultant roles.

These experiences have sharpened his expertise in navigating contractual relationships, and successfully implementing the project management cycle. Mr. Japp is an expert in urban engineering and infrastructure fields, with a particular skill set aligned to the design of township services, urban renewal, building civils, road design, and stormwater modeling.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Gons Poonan obtained his BSc (Civil Engineering) at the University of Westville in 1977 and registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer in 1982.

Gons has 40 years of post-graduate experience, most of which has been in the design of building and bridge structures.

He has extensive experience in structural engineering and maintenance, site supervision, project management and business administration, including contract documentation.

He is a registered, professional Construction Project Manager and has memberships with SAICE (Fellow), Associate of Institute of Structural Engineers, Chartered Engineer and SABTACO.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Pieter Boorsma is well known in the industry as an expert in the design of long multi-span bridges constructed by means of incremental launching techniques and thus has advanced experience in temporary-works requirements and associated bridge construction techniques.

Over the years he has published papers and received numerous awards for technical excellence.

Pieter was awarded an MSc degree by Durban Natal University in 1978, specialising in structural engineering, and registered as a Professional Engineer in the same year.

He has specialised in the planning, design and construction of bridges and structures.

Through our offices in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, ENsync Engineers is able to provide a national footprint. This is evident through our current projects  throughout South Africa and neighbouring countries and our ongoing marketing initiatives in the diaspora.
